Senior Quality Engineer

The role will include- 

  • Having to work within the requirements of IATF16949
  • Supporting the FMEA and Improvement teams
  • Monitoring Production quality performance
  • Projecting activities when required
  • Improving projects within milestones and budgets
  • Managing customer concerns and acting upon these through root cause analysis
  • Monitoring and reporting the effectiveness of implemented corrections 
  • Managing activities and disposition of products and materials 
  • Compiling PPAP documentation 
  • Managing supplier concerns 
  • Maintaining and updating control plans inline with FMEA and corrective activity 
  • Being the lead on-site internal auditor


Main responsibilities-

  • Maintaining effective communication across the business activity 
  • Trouble shoot on existing product related process concerns and agree on a solution 
  • Monitor and verify process Cpk against agreed customer customer targets
  • Lab NCR containment and investigation
  • Liaising with customer and suppliers when needed
  • Goods inwards verification tests and C of C verification sign off
  • Co-ordination of sub-contracted work at customer or supplier locations as required, reporting results and cost data to management
  • Maintaining control plans 
  • Development of actions plans to resolve customer and supplier concerns 
  • PPAP statistical verification and validation
  • Other activities and support withing the departments task analysis


For this job role the required qualifications would be-

  • HNC in Mechanical engineering 
  • BTEC in Quality Engineering


The ideal candidate would have - 

  • Continuous experience within manufacturing environments
  • Experience within thermal manufacturing companies 
  • Experience with root cause problem solving
  • QS9000/IATF16949 auditor skills
  • Computing skills within general business and must have experience using quality tools. 
  • Worked within the automotive industry (1st and 2nd tier supplier).
  • Experience within the Textile/ Plastics/ Powder application industries.
