General Operative (Various departments)

XCL Group are working alongside a growing company, who are looking for people to join them at a large manufacturing site in South Yorkshire. This opportunity offers the potential of long-term employment, where they are looking for hard working and reliable individuals, to become a key part of their manufacturing departments. 

 

Responsibilities

• Using machinery for the production of plastic products, packing and coiling pipes
• Maintain good standards of housekeeping and legible records
• Picking/ Packing orders
• Recycling scrap products and packaging

Note: This role will also include some manual work

Skills/Experience

• Experience of running/operating machines (essential)
• Operating machinery within a manufacturing environment (desirable)
• Attention to detail
• Work off own initiative
• Adhere to safe working practices at all times

Note: Some of the parts/stock may be heavy so the role could involve heavy lifting and you will be on your feet throughout the shift. 

The successful person will also need to have their own PPE (safety boots / high vis vest / facemask)

Hours:

The hours differ depending on the role, please see below the various options:

• 12 hours day/nights as part of a weekly rota, averaging 40.25 hours per week
• Rotating shift pattern of 6am – 2pm / 2pm – 10pm / 10pm – 6am (you must be open to doing ALL shifts listed)
• Monday to Friday 6am -2pm / 9am – 5pm/ 10am -6pm with overtime available on a weekend, usually on a Saturday morning.
