XCL Group work with a major automotive client providing skilled and semi- skilled candidates into technical, operations and administration roles.
The automotive industry has enjoyed massive growth in recent years but has been impacted by lack of available skilled technical labour. XCL looked at solutions to this challenge to enable them to support the client in meeting labour demands and joined forces with a local college who deliver NVQ automotive technician courses.
A project was launched with a partnership between the college, XCL and the client where key managers were engaged in building a working partnership that introduced students to the clients business through open days, work experience and opportunities to join the clients Apprenticeship Academy.
A year into the project and the outcome is that the client has 6 students on work experience and 2 who have graduated to the Apprenticeship Academy.
XCL also recruit external skilled and semi- skilled automotive technicians from the market, Stores and parts people, Administration staff who work within the Warranty, logistics and production administration departments with a number of candidates securing a permanent position in our clients business.
We continue to work with a number of clients and have developed our knowledge within the local Automotive industry from yard and operational staff to management level positions.
Our Managers and consultants have experience in working within industry and focus on selecting experienced candidates and offering solutions for clients labour requirements.
